Josephine

JOSEPHINE THE GUARDIAN ANGEL

Hi! Let me introduce myself. My name is Josephine, I am a goat with wings, yes with wings. Before I used to live on mother earth, but now I am in heaven. Heaven you say? That sounds like a sad story, not at all let me tell you my story: Josephine

I was born in St. Maarten and I grew up in the beautiful mountains. I had a great mom and a huge daddy with enormous horns, I admired him. We all lived happy together among other goats until something terrible happened. One night we got attacked by wild dogs and we had to run! We ran and ran until we came down to a road where I could see a lot of cars. And” Bang” I got hit by one of them. “Autch”, my leg hurt and I couldn't move any more. All the goats, even mom and dad kept on running and left me there on my own. Big panic! What am I going to do, mom, dad, come back? While I was laying there I wondered why there are wild dogs in the nature of St. Maarten…

Suddenly a car stopped and a lady picked me up. Me in a car? WOW. She brought me to a doctor for animals where they told her that my leg was broken.  She brought me home with her where I met many other animals. Goats, geese, chicken, turkeys, ducks, cats and dogs (very friendly ones) and everybody lived together so nicely.  She put me in a basket with a pink cushion and spoiled me a lot. I was very happy. I grew up to become a big goat. But I must say my health was always very weak and the lady had to give me medicine now and then. My intuition (animals have a very good one) told me that I will not live very old so I decided to prepare a gift for her, just in case something should happen to me. I decided to give her a kid. The Ram of the house (his name is Elvis) was very happy to help me with my project and very quickly I became pregnant. 6 month later I delivered two beautiful kids, (Elvis did a good job) and one looked just like me. The lady gave them nice names: Cesar and Rosalie. Everything was perfect. But then happened what I always feared: One week after giving life to my two kids I felt sick, very sick. I could not feed them any more and the lady had to bottle feed them. I was very ill but still very observative and I knew that I had done the right thing and that everything would be okay. I was happy that I had the chance to give her this gift and I also knew she would take good care of the kids. One day when she came home from work I laid there, dead on the ground. I watched  her from above, what everybody calls heaven: she was crying and crying. I felt sorry for her. She buried me in her yard and put a beautiful flower on my grave. You know what? She understood exactly what this was about. She is so close to all her animals  that she can even guess our thoughts.  From that moment on I have been watching and protecting her and my kids and I can only say: I had such a happy life. That’s why the story is not sad.
